What a fantastic relaxing holiday with walks and a boat trip along the Cher and Loire rivers, and visiting the wonderful town of Amboise. The whole area is alive with dragonflies, butterflies and birds. The house is just a short walk from the river Cher with restaurants and bars close to the river. The house was perfect for what we needed with a well-situated patio with table and chairs to enjoy the warm summer evenings. Our hosts were so welcoming and Didier took us to see his bee hives and explained with great passion the production of his honey, of which he gave us a jar on arrival in La Croix en Touraine. All in all a really brilliant trip to the Loire valley, highly recommended.

Immaculately clean gite with everything you could need for a stay in the Loire. South facing property and great to come back to after a day out. Brigitte & Didier were very friendly and supportive when needed and I got a fascinating tour of Didier's extensive beehive installation. The gite was chosen for its location and didn't disappoint, being only minutes from the Cher river and Chenonceaux. There's bike hire & supermarket in Bléré, which is on the river. Easy driving to Amboise, Villandry and many of the other Loire chateaux.

le gîte est agréable et très bien placé pour visiter la région. J'ai malgré tout quelques réserves : une paire de draps vieillissantes facturés 16 euros (ce qui n'est pas signalé sur l'annonce ), même pas de torchons de cuisine fourni, en juin le réfrigérateur n'était pas branché à notre arrivée, ni sel, ni poivre, ni bouteille d'eau prévue, une savonnette usagée dans l'évier (en période covid c'est moyen). Merci tout de même pour les délicieuses framboises et cerises du jardin.
