We came to mourn the loss of our military son. I wanted somewhere peaceful quiet and beautiful! This was just the place. The wrap around patio with rockers to watch the nature around you is just beautiful. The giant fire place inside was beautiful! Loved this place and would highly recommend!

This home is on a GORGEOUS setting and if you like accessibility to the greater NOLA area with a relatively easy drive to town, while enjoying privacy and exploration - this is a good choice. However, the property needs attention and a lot of (relatively easy) things can be done to improve comfort. For example, it advertises Queen beds - they are definitely full size and CLOSE quarters for sharing. The linens need to be replaced. There are also many small repairs - the refrigerator/ freezer did not cool properly during the stay, we had no real hot water showers, the shower door needs sealing, things like that. Also, the sofa bed mattress needs to be replaced - it really was not usable for one adult person to have a comfortable night. Also, providing better linens and more blankets would help a lot as well... it's all the small things. The big thing - some drapes as outside the bedrooms there is light flooding in every available sleeping area. The hosts mean well - it's like a family home that is available for guests but small tweaks will go a LONG long way!! Cannot beat the setting or location and love the pet friendly aspect as well.
