About this house rental
Bring the whole family to this custom log home on a 14-acre slice of heaven in the Ozark Mountains on Arkansas’ famed blue ribbon smallmouth bass stream “Crooked Creek” Just (3) bends upstream from the confluence of the White River. Fish, swim, kayak, snorkel on our 1000’ of creek frontage. The kids and whole family will have a blast. The water level on the creek is constantly fluctuating dependent solely on the rainfall and spring water received upstream. Many times, I have docked my 20’ topwater boat below the house (spring). Others we have kayaked from the lower access off HWY 101 back to the house (late spring, early summer). And other times we just enjoy swimming and snorkeling around the natural springs that feed the creek and wade fish (late summer). Ranchette White River access is about (4) miles down the road, so bring your boat if you’d like to trout fish, or we can put you in touch of one of the many guides in the area that can pick you up right at the ramp according to the bite. House accommodations state 12, and that is utilizing (1) person on the pull out couch in the game room and (1) person on the log futon in the Master bedroom. please contact host if you have more, as we always try and accommodate. House is approx. 4000 sq ft with (3) levels. Large soaker tub/glass tile shower in the master bath, (6) person hot tub on the lower level. This log home is at the very end of the road and behind a locked gate, it is very secluded. Fishing is stated as “catch and release” as we are in a smallmouth bass trophy zone. Cell service is low (1-2 bars), but we now have Starlink WIFI, and it has been exceptional! We have been on face time, streaming 4K, email, social media, etc.! So, if you need to work remotely, you should have no problem, we even have a dedicated office area with additional HDMI dell monitor! Safety features of the home include (1) security camera overlooking the carport/driveway area and a Nest carbon monoxide/ smoke alarm in the kitchen. Very nice cabin. Everything we needed. The only problem was the walk down to the stream. It was pretty steep with no walkway.

The property is stunning and the house is so cozy. It definitely is a quiet spot to getaway. The owners were very accommodating and reached out several times during the trip to make sure we were taken care of! The only thing we would have done differently is booked a longer stay!

Each year we take 5 grandkids on a short vacation right before school starts, usually involving a river and as remote a location as we can find. This cabin on Crooked Creek, was simply awesome. It is indeed a custom, high quality cabin in the woods! Johathan, the owner/host, is probably the best we have ever encountered. We have stayed in dozens of Vrbo homes over the years, and with many great hosts, but he was simply awesome to deal with from a month before our trip and throughout the trip. While we had no issues, he was extremely helpful with information the whole time! We definitely hope to return in the future!

We shared the cabin with another family and it was simply splendid. The Cabin was immaculate and tastefully decorated. Every amenity one could want with a great stove, oven , grill, and outdoor fire pit gave plenty of dinner options. Great big kitchen perfect for entertaining. A bit steeper climb down to the creek than we were expecting but totally worth the effort. Breathtaking views, crystal clear water, all sorts of nature and animal life, and of course a couple of fun fish! What a great escape from the city life. Would highly recommend.
