About this apartment rental
House Anno 1895 Built in 1895 on the former estate of the Ducal House family property in Schaafheim, in the first street outside the old local wall. Even before the construction of the prestigious school building, the gabled brick building with barn cultivation was built by Adam Fischer. After extension of a feeding kitchen in 1941, further smaller alterations took place. With the purchase of the house in 2017, a complete refurbishment was carried out - with expansion of the barn to a granny flat and the main building Haus Anno 1895 to a holiday home. The historic building was redeveloped using old and, where necessary, new building materials. This restored the building to its former glory. This was the stated goal of the renovation, which was completed in July 2019.

The house itself was incredible and so interesting filled with so much history. Plenty of space for my family of 4 and it had an extra bedroom that we didn't even use. Spacious and nice. The items old and new in the house created such great conversations within my family. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen is great and the garden is beautiful. There is also an incredible stain glass window right next to the house.
Our host, Manny, was incredibly nice and helpful to our family. He showed us how everything works in the house and shared some fun facts about how he renovated the house as well. He also had some very helpful books for site seeing and made some great recommendations.
Would highly recommend this VRBO to all! Great location for site seeing and going to various citites!
