About this house rental
You live in a lovingly restored, about 300 year old village smithy, sunny at about 500 meters above the Thuringian Forest.
Knobelsdorf with its 34 inhabitants is centrally located within a hiking, gliding and cycling area. From here you discover Thuringia from the Hohenwarte Reservoir to the Schwarzatal.
On about 80 m² living space is plenty of space for up to five people. The apartment has a large, comfortable living area, a kitchen, bathroom with shower u. Bathtub.
The living room
There is a parking space for the car, a decent supply of firewood and water & a few supplies in case you are snowing;)
Seriously - it is our house, so it is equipped and you are allowed to feel as welcome and at home as we do.
In the kitchen everything is available what is needed; from utensils to basic ingredients. Our guest room has a beautiful bunk bed (80 x 2.00 m.) And a desk. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m.) And in the bathroom you can relax either in the bath with a view over the valley or in the 1.20 x 1.20 m large shower.
Towels & bed linen are of course included in the price - as well as we, who will help you with words and deeds to make your stay as nice as possible.
Access for guests
You should feel at home! Of course, you have access to all rooms and always remain undisturbed. No one else is in the house except you.
However, the attic and cellar are still not suitable for children and due to their tools - which you do not notice at all in the living area.
And do not worry, no one works it while you recover!
If, contrary to expectations, there is a technical problem, our technician will come to you immediately.
Other important information
To and from Saalfeld a bus leaves several times a day. Parking is available directly at the house, the trails lead practically past the house.
Here there is nature & peace!
Tuesdays comes the bakery car and on Wednesdays the mobile Aunt Emma. The nearest shops (Norma, Rewe, etc.) are right down the hill and of course in the nearby Saalfeld city center.
If something has been forgotten - the bus runs regularly, the stop is diagonally opposite the house, our team is also available to help and advice.
The prices include VAT.

Schön im Vorfeld ist die Kommunikation mit Micha sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und entspannt, was sich vor Ort bei der persönlichen, freundlichen Begrüßung bestätigt. Wir können allen Bewertungen, die vor uns abgegeben worden sind, 100 % zustimmen. Genau so ist es!
Darum noch ein paar weitere Hinweise und "Insider-Tipps" von uns:
Alle Dorfbewohner, die wir kennengelernt haben, sind äußerst nett.
Das Haus steht zwar direkt an einer Straße, diese ist aber eine Sackgasse mit nur wenigen Grundstücken, so dass wirklich fast nie ein Auto vorbeifährt.
Es gibt im Dorf einen Getränke-Selbstbedienungsschrank (mit Kasse des Vertrauens), falls man doch das Bier oder die Limo vergessen hat.
Es gibt verschiedenste (kurze und lange) Wander-Möglichkeiten mit wenigen oder mit vielen Höhenmetern.
Radfahren ist gut möglich, wenn man keine Probleme mit vielen Höhenmetern hat und noch besser, wenn man gern Mountainbike fährt (Familien-Radtouren sollte man also nur im Tal durchführen).
In das Kinder-Schlafzimmer scheint nachts die Straßenlaterne. Wer also besser im Dunkeln schlafen kann, muss etwas vors Fenster hängen.
Zur Talsperre Hohenwarte nur mit dem Jeep der Navi-Route über Weischwitz folgen, sonst die etwas längere Tour über Reschwitz nutzen.
Wer im Werksverkauf der Schokoladenfabrik einkaufen möchte, sollte zuerst den hinteren nutzen (vom Parkplatz aus gesehen rechts von der Zufahrt, erst danach den direkt am Parkplatz).
Insbesondere Mädchen ab 15 (so wie unsere Tochter) könnten ein Problem mit der geringen Anzahl Gleichaltriger haben ;-)

Das Haus gegenüber der kleinen Kirche bietet genügend Platz für eine Familie (4). Die 1. Etage ist geschmackvoll saniert, in einer guten Mischung aus Erhaltung der ursprünglichen Bausubstanz und aktuellen
Fragmenten. Man fühlt sich gleich sehr wohl! Nicht nur Bad sondern auch die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Uns fehlte nichts zum glücklich Sein.
Die Lage des Objektes ist auch super für alle die Ruhe suchen. Wanderungen können direkt vor der Haustür losgehen. Auch kurze Spaziergänge sind möglich.
Der Vermieter - Micha - hatte uns persönlich begrüßt und uns die Wohnung / das Haus gezeigt. Alles in allem sehr angenehm und wärmstens zu empfehlen.

Tolles Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage, aber mit kurzen Wegen zu vielen tollen Erlebnissen (Feengrotten, Mellestollen mit Bowlingbahn, Saalemax Freizeitbad, Schiller Höhe...)
Wir als Großstädter haben die Ruhe im Ferienhaus genossen.
Top auch die Kommunikation und Begleitung vom Eigentümer Herr Tamm.
