Location is the best in Meribel-Mottaret, we thought. Can't get much better than taking two lifts down, grabbing your skis out of the provided locker, taking another 50 steps, clicking into your skis and skiing down to Plattieres, Combes, or Pas Du Lac 1.
The whole area smells of (what we deciphered to be) sulfur or old sewage pipes. We figured out that plugging the drains (sink, bathtub, kitchen sink) and closing the toilet lid dissipated the smells.

Checks in process might be fine if you book in a different platform. It was terrible via booking.com
We don’t get an email or anything. No specific location details or timings for check in were provided. We Arrived at 7pm only to have missed the reception staff and no have any check information provided by email or booking.com messages or app. After some time a different reception person at another building was able to give us the code to the after hours box. We’re travelling and only have data not SMS. Not acceptable that check inning wasn’t provided by email or app messaging.
The actual room itself is tiny… think Tokyo tiny. Can’t stand sideways in the kitchen while preparing food or pass each other in the hall tiny. The plumbing stank.
But it was passable.
