About this villa rental
Bay View Villas stands on the a quiet, peaceful position, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Souda Bay and The White Mountains, to the Akrotiri Penisula, where the sunset are colorful and the lights twinkle at night.
The villa stands on the upper levels of the hillside, on a clever landscaping, screening, and the use of the natural contours of the land provides a good amount of privacy for the villa. An electric gate at the bottom of the plot opens onto a long driveway made of natural flagstones, which leads uphill to the villa, on a private parking area. The entire property is bordered by low Cretan stone walls and with coloured flowers, olive trees and almond trees.
Ground floor house with open plan living room, kitchen and dining area, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 shower room, and a covered dining terrace. The front door opens to living room area which is equipped with an L-shaped corner unit couch, a WIFI hub, a flat screen TV, a satellite receiver box, a DVD player, a TV unit, a small book-case and a coffee table. A double window faces south west to the mountains, and there are extra wide double doors that open out onto a sea and mountain facing terrace that overlooks the pool and is covered with an awning that can be adjusted for either sun or shade. The front terrace is equipped with a glass and white dining table and 4 comfortable chairs. The living area also incorporates a modern, fully equipped kitchen and a dining area which has a table and chairs that can seat six. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, an electric cooker, a large fridge/freezer, a microwave oven, a toaster, a kettle and a coffee maker. A window from this room looks south to rocks, olive and almond trees, and a door leads out to the garden and the parking area. Just off the living area there is a wide sliding door which leads to a small corridor with 3 further doors. The right hand door leads to the twin bedroom, where sliding doors open out to a small covered patio and look to natural stone wall at the rear of the property and olive trees. The middle door opens to the bathroom, where a shower stands. The left hand door opens to the double bedroom, where double sliding doors open out to the driveway and the front terrace which has magnificent sea views.
Completed in 2010, the Bay View Villas include every modern convenience to ensure a comfortable stay, including satellite TV, a DVD player, a dishwasher, a washing machine, hairdryer, aluminium windows and shutters, mosquito screens, and air conditioning units in the bedrooms. The a/c units also double up as heaters for the cooler nights early and late season, and there is solar powered hot water or a back-up immersion heater. WIFI Internet access for up to 5 devices is also available.
A communal barbeque area covered with a large pergola is set just below Bay View Villa. It is equipped with a brick barbeque, a traditional oven, a sink, and a wooden table and chairs. A portable barbeque is also available for the use of the guests.
The swimming pool is private, only for your use.

My wife and I stayed 9 nights at Bay View Villa1, and wished we could have stayed longer. The villa is compact, not overlooked and perfect for two people, but could easily house four. It has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The view over Souda Bay is incredible. A short walk will take you to the village of Kokkino Chorio with its friendly taverna and well stocked shop. We spent most of our time chilling by the lovely pool, but occasionally ventured out to the nearby coastal village of Almyrida, where there were a number of very good restaurants by the sea. We particularly liked Thalami and Psaros, but there were plenty more to try. Almyrida also had an excellent pharmacy, where all the staff spoke English. If we ever came to this part of Crete again, we would definitely stay at Bay View Villa 1.

The accommodations were delightful, and the surrounding vistas were breathtaking. The neighboring towns offered a charming ambiance.
The hosts demonstrated professionalism and respected our privacy.
Although the villa was modest in size, it provided all the necessary amenities for a family of four. The swimming pool was a remarkable feature. Overall, it was a successful holiday. We express our gratitude for the opportunity to reside in your esteemed villa.
