Lovely self contained lodge with Bedroom tea/ coffee making facilities and an en suite spotlessly clean , parking a real bonus too. Nothing too much trouble for our host , really helpful and polite
No negatives, 100 yards up a steep hill so might not suit less mobile people

We had a fantastic second stay at The Lodge, which has had a bit of a refurb since our last visit some 15 months ago but has kept its charm.
The Lodge is so comfortable and has everything you could possibly need (and more!), as well as a welcome pack including Biscuits, Muffins, Fresh Milk, Fresh Orange Juice and Bottled Water. Honestly, I don't think I have the space or memory to be able to list all the little "extras" you get at The Lodge that you simply don't get with other holiday rentals.
Also, a parking space is a rarity in Holmfirth, so to have one included here is a real Godsend.
Some people may have issue with the lack of kitchen facilities, but it didn't bother us in the slightest as we like to eat out when on holiday. There is Tea and Coffee making facilities, as well as plates and cutlery should you decide to have a takeaway.
The weather let us down for the second visit running, so a stay during the summer months is on the cards! 🙂
