Rent cottage for 4 people near Lake Guerlédan in Mur de Bretagne. Located 50 m from the greenway, 1.5km from the beach of Landroannec, renovated small house comprising on the ground floor a living room and kitchen, oven, hob, microwave, small appliances, bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Upstairs 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and two single beds. Parking, summer terrace with garden furniture and barbecue, lawn area. Préau for bicycles.

The gite is great for a simple, old fashioned, well priced, country holiday. It is very rustic inside (the clothes rails are tree branches hanging from the rafters - very ingenious!) - and very simply furnished. The sofa and all the mattresses were cumfy although the single beds did creak a bit! In a nod to modern living there is an oven and induction hob and a microwave, kettle etc. but the crockery is somewhat rustic and there is no washing machine. There is a television but no WIFI (but we hadn't expected WIFI as it wasn't mentioned in the property description). I would recommend bringing your own hairdryer (not provided) and smoke alarm (bit temperamental). The drains were a bit of a problem in the bathroom (which incidentally is downstairs) but disinfectant was provided and came in useful when it got a bit smelly. The terrace is south facing, very private and there is a plastic table and chairs for al fresco meals.
This little gite is very well located - about a 20 minute walk to the supermarket and 15 minutes into the centre of Mur de Bretagne with its Michelin restaurant (can recommend the tasting menu at 79 euros for a wonderful evening out) and attractive town square with church, pizzeria and charcuterie.
