We took advantage of a log fire as the weather was unusually bad for June. Comfortable seating in a large main room which was open plan with a dining area and kitchen. Well equipped all round. Bedroom and bathroom/WC on main floor, with another bedroom and WC downstairs, also with external access, although that toilet was not functioning. Parking a little tricky as the space was shared with a couple of tractors and the sheep came by every night! But we managed. Were greeted with a bottle of wine and a jar of absolutely delicious blackberry jam. Lovely view across the hills. Very rural hamlet. Basic provisions and an excellent restaurant (les Tilleuls) in nearby Provencheres.

be prepared to bring a car, a good cooler for daytrips. this is not for the lamy family wanting a pool, but a great place for walking, cold swimming and enjoying great landscapes. do not underevaluate the local shop, prices are lower than in the city. not a great place for disables, but once in the house it works well.

The description of the house and the location is very precise. Everything was functioning and practical. The owners gave good advice and information, they were wery friendly and easy to talk to in spite of my missing french. I would gladly recommend the house to my friends, I already have, and we are actually considering to return next summer.
Our primary interests have been the mountains and riverbeds, and the excellent bathing place in Lac de Villefort. The environment offers very fine walks and trmendous views over a very wide landscape, the temperature is agreable, warm and not too hot, and it is a pleasure to return late in the afternoon to a cooling and quiet house in La Fare surrounded by green hills and a high and wide sky.

Gite très grand, avec le confort nécessaire Ce gite m'a fait découvrir les Cévennes, c'est un endroit très calme. Plusieurs rando, balades sont possibles pour tous les niveaux. Plusieurs villages autour sont à visiter, notamment avec le lac de Villefort et de nombreux bals l'été, vous permettront de danser jusqu'au bout de la nuit!!
