We loved the old fashioned elegance in the bedroom, with curtains so you could open the doors to the shared patio but still have privacy. The bathroom was completely modern and looked very new. The host offered a service for luggage transfer but we walked up the steps, because steps are part of the Almafi experience! The breakfast featured WARM croissants they were the best we have had on this vacation. The room had a table and chairs so you could eat privately, but we chose to eat on the shared terrace and enjoy the December sunshine sheltered from the wind. Our host allowed us a late checkout (2pm) because we had a late afternoon ferry. We walked the "path of the gods" which was beautiful, we chose to walk down the steps from Nocelle instead of taking the bus, we were sore the next day and spent it reading on the lovely terrace in the sunshine. (We are over 65 years old)

Very central but one must be ready to walk up 40 steps until making it to the hotel.
The girl that works there was also nice.
We notified the hotel of our estimated arrival time, but we didn't receive the exact address until we were standing in the plaza where the hotel is located. The address on Booking.com is not complete. After driving for hours and being pretty tired, we still had to search for the hotel. We couldn't find it, so we had to write to the hotel to ask for the exact address. Then, we had to wait for a reply so we could check in.
Another downside is that it's very commercialized. After paying about €140/night (with no luxuries, and breakfast wasn't better than at a hostel), you still have to pay €45/day for parking, pay for help carrying luggage, pay for the dog, etc.
Our room was decorated with "antique" furniture, but it smelled like cigarettes because the previous owners were probably smokers.
