Harrison Spring Cabin - Overlooking the Blue River and Harrison Spring - Cozy enough for two, but large enough to sleep four comfortably. The Harrison Spring Cabin overlooks where the spring empties into the Blue River. Harrison Spring is one of the largest springs east of the Mississippi River and is on the National Natural Landmark List. The cabin is on stilts and affords a nice view of the Blue River and the spring. The spring is always 54 degrees and this really moderates the temperature around the cabin. A large wrap around porch offers extended river views and is a relaxing place for friends and guests to gather. An interior family room offers additional gathering opportunities.
The cabin is furnished in a river camp atmosphere and features a full bathroom with shower. There are two bedrooms and both bedrooms have a double bed. The Cabin is air conditioned and heated.
Convenient access to the Blue River: The Blue River is well known for canoeing, fishing, and abundant wildlife. Much of the lower stretch of the river is bordered by Harrison Crawford State Forest and O'Bannon Woods State Park. The property is conveniently located on the river so that you can arrange a variety of trips using public access points up and downstream. Looking to bring your friends or extended family and need more space? Look no further! We have another cabin sitting also on the banks of Blue River located not far from the Harrison springs cabin. This was the perfect place to get away, relax on the porch overlooking a special spot in the creek, and play in the water. We watched movies on VHS, listened to cds, and cooked our meals. We had everything we needed, felt safe and welcomed, and left recharged. Definitely returning!

There was a slight hiccup with the check but the host was just around the corner and came to help. The air wasnt on when we got there so it was quite hot until it was able to cool the place down. Sitting by the river, just listening to the water was amazing! Well worth it.
