About this chalet rental
The Chalet du Chef was rebuilt in 2016 and luxuriously furnished (eg Miele kitchen). The photos show the stand end of 11/2017. It is intended for guests that even on vacation not in sufficient area (250 square meters) and the amenities they have at home, want to do without.
Switzerland and expensive? Yes, that is so, if you want to experience something other than the known mass tourism. However, the prices of the Chalet du Chef are competitive with any holiday resort in Austria, Germany and France - but the performance and quality offered is at 5-star level.
We offer for an additional charge and after prior clarification in addition to:
- Daily cleaning and bedding service
- Daily cook service (with food as you wish)
Charging possibility for electric cars available - costs according to consumption.

At Chalet du Chef is a spacious, modern and tastefully furnished holiday chalet Luxury for max. 9 adults (3 double-bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, 1 sofa bed (2 pers.) And 2 children who want to stay "Children cave" of about 15 square meters in a convenient to 1.80 (hedged). The chalet has consistently floor heating, 2 large living rooms, one with an open kitchen (Miele appliances); two modern wood stoves, sufficient parking, hot tub, WiFi, satellite TV, Swisscom TV, etc.).

This large home turned out to be perfect for our group of 11 mixed family ranging from ages 9-80. There was ample space and though we are hardly professionals, an amazing chef’s kitchen. We selected the location for its size and proximity to Zermatt. That turned out to be the only downside, as it was a bus to a train and took over an hour, more because service was interrupted due to a landslide when we there. A little warning that the hill to the chalet is super steep and was hard for the grandparents. However, the views were spectacular and we really enjoyed the quiet. We turned out to be charmed by the nearby town of Grächen and its restaurants, shops and abundant nature and hiking. Walter was a great host, communicated well and had a brief issue with hot water fixed immediately. All in all, it was a delightful stay.

Chalet du Chef hält was es verspricht: Gepflegtes Haus, gut eingerichtet, auch in der Küche alles vorhanden, was Selbstkocher brauchen (etwas wenig Schüsseln).
Die Zufahrt (steile Schotterpiste) ist tatsächlich auch im Sommer nicht ohne. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge - allerdings kaum direkt vom Haus aus (Auto erforderlich).

Rustig gelegen...de weg ernaar is wel zeer verraderlijk in de winter met ijsvorming op de gravelweg die zeer steil is . over een afstand van 400 meter..en dus met auto moeilijk te doen om tot boven te geraken.....zeer ruime chalet met zeer uitgebreide keuken met alles erop en eraan...ook veel ruimte.....tot max 8 personen... beddengoed en meer handdoeken zou fijn zijn.

Wir haben unseren Aufenhalt im Chalet du Chef sehr genossen. Der Platz ist grosszügig und für jedes Zimmer gibt es ein eigenes Bad. Toller Umschwung. Der Bezitzer und die Schlüsselverwalterin waren immer sehr behilflich und haben auf unsere Anliegen sofort reagiert. Ein Paint Point ist die steile Anfahrt. Dies hat der Besitzer aber bereits vor Mietvertrag offen und transparent kommuniziert. Wir sind mit einem 4*4 ohne Schneeketten (aber mit viel Schwung) fast jeden Tag hochgekommen. An einem Tag war es allerdings zu eisig und der Vermieter hat dann am nächsten Tag Kies streuen lassen, damit es mit der Hochfahrt wieder klappte.
