The Castle Collection 14 Cook Street

Excellent location, spacious, clean, modern.

This is a large (spacious) and fancy place in the city centre, a stone's throw from the Cavern Club and many restaurants and shops. There were 2 bedrooms, each with a good-sized bed, a kitchen kitchen area with a round table with 4 chairs, and an open living room with a couch and TV. There was also a washer and a large drying rack, which came in handy. We stayed in Unit 12, on the 3rd floor and were happy that there was an elevator. The host was responsive.

There was a luxury bar downstairs, called the City Vaults, and there was a bouncer standing at the doorway of 14 Cook St. in the evenings (Fri. and Sat.). On thosee nights when the bar was open, one could hear loud pulsating music. It's a bit much, especially if you're ready to go to bed at 11 pm or around midnight. Not sure if the bar is open on weeknights. While the place was new, modern, and had everything we needed, we thought it was a bit stingy that only 2 rolls of TP were provided for our almost 3.5-day stay. Additionally, NO laundry detergent was provided, even though there was a washer in the kitchen. I asked about the detergent and was informed that none was provided. We had been on the road for a month and every place we stayed in that had a washer provided at least 1-3 pods of detergent. When one is traveling, it's not easy to buy detergent for 1-2 washes, so if/since there is a washer, please consider providing some detergent. And more TP. C'mon, we paid for a comfortable stay (not one where we are rationing TP)!

Apartment 4, 14 Cook St- Booked last minute on a bank holiday weekend & school holiday so wasn’t expecting much but- wow! A huge apartment with everything you need in a great location. Middle of city, 6 mins walk to carpark, 2 minutes walk to Cavern Club. Parked the car & walked everywhere very easily

Was quite noisy during the night (due to being close to bars etc). Dryer seemed to take forever to dry anything.

Plenty space, well furnished, clean.

Very cold. The heaters were inadequate for the size of the property.
