The location of the apartment is more than perfect. We were happy without a car, bus stop about 50 meters away and we didn't have to climb stairs or hike uphill with our trolley bags, which is a rare thing in Gaeta. Next door was a discount store where we could get the essentials at a very good price, a little further away a bakery with fresh bakery goods. We had to walk a bit for vegetables and meat, but there were excellent restaurants very close by. The beach boardwalk goes in front of the house, very cosy in the evenings. Mount Orlando was a perfect location for forest runs and short hikes.
The host was very kind and helpful. The apartment was on the ground floor, so it was a bit dark and stuffy, but when we opened the window and opened the shutters, light and air came in. The front door, windows and mosquito nets were of very good quality. The insulation of the building was very good, we didn't turn the ac on once even though the temperature outside was close to 30 degrees. The interior is a bit eclectic but very homely, my kids loved it and they compared it to a Wes Anderson movie.
Our family (two adults and four children) fit comfortably in the apartment and enjoyed living there for almost a week.
Special recognition for the bathroom, it was spacious, clean and the washer dryer was very useful.
I recommend keeping the windows open on both sides to allow more ventilation. The kitchen was a bit tight for six of us, but it had all the necessary equipment for cooking and baking.

Great host. No problems. Easy transaction to collect keys. Definitely the best. Value for staying with a larger group in Gaeta. I'd only add thicker blankets but that is a personal preference.
If you have a large group, you need to be aware that there is a limited hot water tank. This is to be expected so it is no fault of the property. But if you are a long shower pig like my family, you had better be the first to take the shower ha!
