The location is excellent with views over olive groves and distant hills, and nearby Joucas is a gem. There is a lovely pool. But...
The strange thing is that this must have been quite a grand 3 star hotel, but now it is largely empty. Only 4 out of 25 or so rooms were occupied and the quality of the rooms and the breakfast would barely merit 1 star (think hostel rather than hotel). So enjoy it for the setting as we did but don’t expect luxury.
Don’t put the address on booking.com into your satnav. It takes you to Gordes. Simply head for Joucas instead. The hotel is just by the village.
