Glen Nevis Youth Hostel

The location is ideal for hiking in the surrounding areas and Fort William, the staff are so friendly, it’s clean and tidy and the kitchen facilities are excellent. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here.

Lovely hostel with great facilities. Kitchen was very clean and well stocked, we could find everything we needed to prepare meals. We stayed in the private room and there was plenty of space, beds very comfy and overall very clean. The hostel was very quiet, not sure it’s the building itself, or just the people staying there being super considerate . The communal areas had plenty of board games, books, and information about the local area. I loved the fact that there was no TV! The drying room worked really well. It is a bit of a trek from the town centre (took us about 50mins on tired legs) but the local bus stops right in front of it, and local taxis take you for about £10. There is a path up to the tourist path of Ben Nevis right outside the door. Stayed with my 60yr old mum, who enjoyed it so much we booked our next stay.

The location was stunning and easy to find. The continental breakfast was very good.

Upstairs toilets had a constantly bad smell, was sickening. Kitchen signed closed 10-12 for cleaning but staff told people it was closed from 1000-1400. Slow check-in
