About this apartment rental
Casa Rina (120 m2) is peacefully situated on a 7-hectare farm planted with vines, olive trees and fruit trees. The farm lies in the Valdichiana Valley in the foothills of the ancient Etruscan hilltop town of Cortona and has far-reaching views over the valleys and medieval hilltop towns. Cortona is 4 km away and the small town of Camucia where you will find various shops and restaurants is 1,5 km away (10 minutes on foot).
The apartment has been recently renovated with great care to maintain all the original features such as exposed beams and terracotta floors. It has been sympathetically furnished in the Tuscan style and is comfortable and well-equipped. A dog is welcome.
Casa Rina is located on the 1st floor (top floor).
It has 3 double bedrooms (2 with double beds, one with twin beds). The double beds were replaced in 2024. 2 bathrooms (one with washing machine). A single bed can be added if there is an extra child in the group, It has a large living room with television. Dining room with table and chairs for 6 and a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen with dishwasher.
There is free WiFi.
Casa Rina has its own large private terrace with table and chairs, ideal for eating outside. From the terrace you can also enjoy the beautiful views. There is also a communal cooking area in the garden with barbecue and wood-burning oven, if you wish to use these facilities too.
The apartment has a large pool (12 x 6m) with outdoor shower. The pool is only shared with the two other holiday homes on the farm.
The railway line is 250 meters away. There are 2 trains per hour during the day. The first train leaves

Although it was too cool to swim, the house was central to lots of places we wanted to go. We did day trips to Cortona, Florence and Sienna so bus

This accommodation is situated on the top floor of the main house with the owners living below. From all pictures it appears to be a stand alone stone cabin. It is worth noting that one of the bedrooms is in very close proximity to a major roadway and the vehicle noise prevents the window from being left open at night.
When we booked, the amenities listed included air conditioning and we were alerted by a previous guests comments that this was not the case. We requested fans from the host over a week in advance and still had to request them a second time when we arrived. Several other amenities were listed but not present upon arrival. These included paper towels, dish and body soap, dishwasher tabs, basic pantry items, ( such as salt, pepper, sugar, etc. as well as dish cloths), and sufficient toilet paper for a weeks stay. These items were subsequently requested and some were provided.
Communication with the owners was very limited and respectful communication with the host was not reciprocated.
The house was comfortable for 4 of with good living space, just not as presented.

The house had plenty af space and equipment, and was very clean. The pool and the area around it was lovely and worked perfectly for us. There is a road and train near by, but it did not disturb us.
Note, that because of Covid the host does not cook meals.
