About this apartment rental
The newly built 3-family house, which was completed in May 2016, is located at 1000m altitude in one of the most beautifully situated regions in the southern Black Forest, in the middle of the idyllic Hofsgrund, with a view of the local mountain Schauinsland. Our new and lovingly furnished apartment with 115sqm and a large balcony for "just switching off" in the sunset offers the ideal opportunity as a starting point for wonderful hikes, bike tours and productive leisure trips (Steinwasenpark 5 minutes away) with a bus stop right outside the front door. The bakery, inn, shop, children's playground, Dobelsee, winter sports shop and local ski lifts are all nearby. For animal lovers, we have our small farm with suckler cow, horses and 2 cats in the back yard of the large area, which invite you to relax in the countryside and make your eyes sparkle. City trips are not neglected either, because our well-known, multifaceted city of Freiburg can be reached in just 25 minutes and brings the ideal change with a shopping tour, museum day or city tour. The Europapark in Rust, Strassbourg and Basel are also in the immediate vicinity.
Regarding the restaurant situation, we have a restaurant with a terrace 50m from our house. As well as 3 other inns, which can be reached within 5 minutes by car.

We had a lovely time visiting the Black Forest from the UK. The apartment is spacious and very clean with everything you need. The area is great for walking and visiting the beautiful Freiburg. The town is cute and quiet.The apartment is close to a road that is usually quiet but does have a bus route and the occasional lorry. There are a few additional charges that I assumed were included in the price (internet, bedding, cleaning), so read the additional documents sent by the host.

The apartment was comfortable for our family (6 person), the equipment was adequate, the hosts were very nice. The places we visited were easily accessible, in several cases we used the Konus-card (public transport) provided with the accommodation.

We spent a magical Thanksgiving holiday here. The home is very clean and comfortable. There is plenty of space for large families or a big group of friends. The location is in a beautiful part of the Black Forest with stunning views, hiking trails and outdoor activities close by. Stefanie and Dominik are wonderful hosts and kept great communication. We hope to get the chance to come back here again soon!

Die Wohnung ist hell, freundlich, ruhig und gut ausgestattet. Es ist für eine größere Familiengruppe sehr gut geeignet. Durch die Lage sind vielfältige Ausflüge möglich: Wandern direkt am Schauinsland und Freizeitpark Steinwasenpark; kurze Fahrten mit ÖPNV oder Auto Richtung Feldberg, Hochschwarzwald und Freiburg; Bus direkt vor dem Haus; gute Erreichbarkeit von Freiburg und zu Zielen ins Elsass... . Man kann bei jedem Wetter etwas unternehmen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war sehr nett und unkompliziert...
