Excellent location, lovely town and near to fantastic restaurants (requires steep walking, which was no issue for us). The hotel itself could do with some renovations, but was acceptable... But the view is amazing and worth staying here for. The breakfast was average, the staff very helpful and friendly, and the parking works well too.
The aircon was a little weak and the size of the shower (and strength) was small (and weak), but for the location and view from the room balcony I would stay here again.

What an amazing find....that view from the balcony never gets old, literally breathtaking. The walk down the steep steps into town is always a joy, but beware, you do have to be able-bodied. The room was large and clean, the facilities were very slightly dated, but hey, that's Italian charm, and the staff were always so friendly. Breakfast was amazing, easily the best on our tour. As two motorcyclists, finding the hotel and parking was so easy. I can imagine some of the other hotels in Limione would be a lot more difficult. Thank you, Hotel Castell, for so many priceless memories.
Access and parking for motorcyclists is so easy, but you do have to book your spaces beforehand.

The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The view from the rooms are stunning looking directly over the lake, take your bino's. The pool was also in a stunning location . The hotel is away from the crowds Limone during the day and easily walkable, if you are fit and able. The breakfast was the best we had on this trip. Not recommended for weight watchers. The view from the restaurant was also spectacular.
We did struggle getting to the hotel from the ferry. The climb up is very steep. I would recommend accessing the hotel via car. Not sure if you can do this from Limone town.

My friend and I have been at the hotel from the 13th to the 17th of June, 2024.
The staff is super friendly, except the one at breakfast, she should have been a General in the army.
The reception staff was trying to acommodate us always. Vittorio the bar keeper is a funny character and very friendly. Gem of the Hotel.
The room we had was small but with a beautiful view and clean. The location and the pool were stunning, especially the walk down to town is just unique and lovely.
It would be nice if the terrace could be used for breakfast or at least the windows open in the dining hall.
Breakfast was OK, except I had the worst coffee in Italy it was a Keurig type of machine.
I definitely will be back even though it is not the newest hotel and could use an update.
