We booked on a whim, but this town is an amazing little place, so beautiful and full of character. Like stepping back in time. Even though you are stepping into the Middle Ages, the hotel has all the amenities and comforts of a contemporary hotel. Very comfortable clean bed, white sheets, good water pressure. Could be a little cleaner (ceiling cobwebs or tv remote control), but it’s clean where it matters. The breakfast is one of the best I’ve had. For dinner we tried two restaurants a stone’s throw from the hotel on either side and they were both amazing with great food, atmosphere and staff. The area is great also. You can walk into adventure straight from the door, or have everything you want by car. Rivers, lakes, woods, city, architecture and endless castles. Very romantic. Would come again.

We stayed for 2 nights to wind down. The hotel is well located with easy street parking since it was winter. The staff was friendly and spoke good English. The room was decent size. There is a mini bar which came in handy and some free drinks included! We made use of the free billiard table downstairs which is a nice touch. The only minor issue would be the poor sound insulation since i could hear them speak from next door but nothing major that disrupted sleep. Recommended!
