The hotel is very modern and stylishly decorated down stairs. We appreciated having an elevator up to our floor. The room was small but cozy. Our kids loved the bunk beds. The bathroom was clean, newly renovated and felt high end. We enjoyed the bar downstairs one evening and especially enjoyed the breakfast. There was a large variety of food and it was all really good! It was very important for us to have parking for our large van, so we paid for parking for the weekend and although the parking lot was very small and someone had taken our spot, we appreciated the staff making sure the car was removed and that we could fit our van back into the lot. The hotel is about 15-20 mins from the old city and restaurants so we were able to leave our car and go on foot. Perhaps most conveniently we were able to bring our dog to this hotel. Often pet rooms can feel a little dirty because of fur or accidents from previous pets, but our room smelled fresh and we appreciated that the floors weren’t carpeted so that we didn’t have to worry about old hidden pet stains on the floors.
The upper hallways were very bare though and could use some noise cancelation for people walking up and down the halls late at night. Unfortunately the heat would not turn off in the room so it got very uncomfortable despite the beautiful room and furnishings. We let the staff know and they sent someone up who offered us a room across the street at the other hotel when he couldn’t fix the issue. We appreciated his kindness but don’t want to move all our things so late in the evening so we opened the windows and slept through the traffic noise from outside. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay!

The hotel is in the city centre. It was an excellent location. Parking in the rear is good. It feels very safe
