Taste of the Sea has recently been refurbished to a high standard to create a space for you to enjoy your holiday.
With 4 bedrooms, 2 doubles with ensuite, and 2 twins and a large shower room there is plenty of room for all 8 people.
The views from here stretch over Staffin Bay to the mainland and are second to none. Standing outside you can hear the sound of the waves crashing onto the pebble shore in Staffin Bay.
There is a wood burning stove in the living room all set up for keeping cosy for those winter evenings.
Plenty of room for entertaining and making memories.

Our group enjoyed our stay. The house was extremely comfortable for 6 of us. The bathrooms and home were stocked with toiletries, and basic needs. The washer and dryer were a great amenity during our travels. Beautiful sunrises over the water and we even got a glimpse of the Northern Lights at night. A quick drive to cool overlooks, Storr and Poetree. Our favorite cafe nearby was the Hungry Gull.

Visited the Isle of Skye in October 2024 with my 3 adult children and their families. A Taste of the Sea proved to provide an excellent location for the exploration of Skye. It provided our family a cozy place to cook, relax and share meals after busy days. It was a perfect place to wind down with a full kitchen/packed with utensils, pots, plates, cups. Washer/dryer accommodations gave us a place to catch up as we were on a two week tour of Scotland. Excellent shower accommodations for a larger group. Communication with the host was perfect and we left feeling like we found a home away from home.

Highlights-quiet location, sea views, design and layout of the property. Updated kitchen and bathrooms. Laundry facilities. Sheep nearby. Comfy living room.
Concerns-terribly uncomfortable beds, dirty handprints all over the walls, peeling paint in one of the rooms, kitchen table/stools/chairs were poor quality. Expected more for the price. Outdoor seating could be improved.
