Astradeni ha una vista favolosa in quanto è situata molto in alto rispetto al centro città. Si narra che gli scalini siano più di 500, ma non li abbiamo contati, pur avendoli fatti diverse volte. La casa è molto bella : ti accoglie un’ampia cucina dotata di tutto ciò che serve per la colazione o altro . La prima camera è adiacente alla cucina ed è molto bella con una nicchia per il letto matrimoniale. Ci sono due bagni , entrambi con doccia e lavandino . In uno c’è pure la lavatrice. Al primo piano c’è la seconda camera con due letti singoli e tramite una scaletta si accede al terrazzo . Dotata di aria condizionata , ma se si aprono le finestre entra un’ arietta meravigliosa . Siamo stati accolti da un signore gentilissimo Ian , che ci ha consegnato le chiavi e raccontato la storia della casa. Iris ci ha seguito tramite messaggi per qualsiasi necessità .

A beautiful place to stay in Symi with incredible views and so much history to the very unique property. Iris was a brilliant and helpful host and we had a wonderful time.

This place is a real gem. The most important feature is the view from the very large terrace, you will not tire of it whether it be in the morning for breakfast or int he evening for drinks and dinner. The house is a real family house, not a house set for rental only, so there is al the amenities of a real house, the kitchen is large and well furnished, the rooms are large and well decorated. The whole house has very good vibes and is charged with history, the gardens are superb. Our host was really friendly and the communication was excellent. The island of Symi is not for people who have mobility problems. Do not be put off by the fact that this house is above the village, it is easily reachable by a road. But if you love walking like me you will soon discover your way through the village and will be able to reach the heart of Chorio in 10 minutes and the port in 30 minutes.

A really characterful house with spectacular views. Spacious and quiet, the only sounds were from cicadas, cockerels and church bells. Chorio village, not far to walk down to, is friendly, with great tavernas.
If we came again, we might consider hiring mopeds to help us up the hill at the end of the day (although taxis were always available).
