The location is really nice! We had the apartment on the top, facing the beautiful little bay. The view is fabolous!
We got the key from the owner who happened to be really friendly! He showed us the aparment, the garden (which is available for the guest to pick peppers tomato, etc.).
We had a few initial questions at arrival and he helped us out with all the answers.
We tried the pizza of Azzurro Cafe which was nice we had a fine evening.
On Tuesday and Friday evenings a fisherman came for grilling sardines and mackarel. These occasions were busy (in a nice way) with locals, enjoying the tasty food and their company. It was nice talking with some locals and being part of these celebrations of life.
A few steps away there is a concreate sportsfield where the youngers could play football, basketball (some even played tennis during daytime). A small playground is next to the sportsfield where the little ones can play swing and a few other plays.
The local beach is with pebbles which you may value after you return from the sandy beach with sand in everything (it's not far from the apartment; just a few min by car and the kids loved it).
There are nice viewpoints from the hills of Blace some of them offer a spectacular view for the whole area. If you stay here don't miss out these walks!
We got a couple of presents during our stay from Grandma like chocolate for my cute little 3 years old and a bottle of wine made of the grapes of the house. Our communication was somewhat limited due to language barrier but she was very kind and offered a few kind words even if I/we did not get the most of it.
We also got a number of farewell gifts, a bouquet of herbs from the garden (it gave a very plesent aroma during our way home in the car and we already used some of the bay leaves when we got home for cooking) a flash of tangerine liquor, a flash of olive oil and an even a toy boat for my little one.
Was everything perfect during our stay? No. Did any of that matter?
I run out of characters on the previous point so allow me to continue here.
If you are a family of 5 and the little one likes to sleep all around between you and your partner and you accustomed to a king size bed you might want to choose a bigger apartment of the house. For us it was ok for the time we spent there.
Even some nuances were not fantastic it did not matter as we had lots of fun and got nice memories to remember!
Additional note: our stay was earlier in the summer so it was not that hot but too early for having figs from trees. There are figs and olives everywhere! Another time...
