The location, at the end of the bus line (Line1), and next to the ferry to Meersdorf.
It was comfortable and quiet.
It was a little dated in places, and the breakfast offerings were a little mean on the first two days - until the weekend, when more people arrived, and there was more of everything.

The location at the harbor was beautiful and very practical, as the bus and ferry terminal were close. The breakfast was lovely. The receptionists moved her car extra for me because there wasn't any space when I arrived.
The room was nice, and the view over the lake was very cute.

The location is really cool, right next to the lake/ferry, and a bus station. Just down the hill from the college. Very reasonable mini fridge prices.
The blankets are slippery and slide off the bed when you're sleeping. Hard to get comfortable.

The hotel is in a great location, right o the lake front. The area is quiet and is great for walkers and cyclist. The bus service is also very good and as a hotel guest it is free to use to go into town. The staff were helpful and friendly and the lady on reception sorted out a space where we could leave our motorcycle at the hotel, which was very good of her.
The rooms are dated, but clean. There is no complimentary bottled water, however, there is a mini bar that is reasonably priced that did have water within and like a lot of German hotels we have stayed in there are no tea or coffee facilities in the room The balcony does have a lake view, but only if you strain to look out and left, otherwise you are facing roof tops of the buildings next door. But it does have a balcony. The restaurant food is ok and the breakfast was adequate.
This could just be me.... But I was left disappointed with the stay...
This is apparently one of, if not thee oldest inn in Germany, dating back to the 1300's.
But you wouldn't know it to stay here. There is nothing outwardly, or inside the hotel to indicate this, it doesn't look old,
so maybe something written on the wall in reception of it's history, or a page in the room, just something about it.
It is a lovely building, but doesn't have a bar and I appreciate that not everyone wants one, but you couldn't sit out the front with a beer admiring the view. You couldn't sit with a coffee either as there are no facilities in the room and no where to get one in the hotel until the restaurant opens. That said, there was a mini bar in the room and for many that would be enough.
The restaurant has outside seating with a great view of the lake, but the menu is limited and the fish and chips were nothing more than four small goujons of fish and a few chips. It also closes at 9pm and we asked for a coffee after the meal at ten minutes to 9pm, we were told we could have it in our room, or reception, but as the restaurant was closing we couldn't have it in the seating at the front of the hotel, at our table. The seating is just at the front of the hotel and just part of the street that is covered. As I say, these are minor points and it could be me expecting something that was never on offer, but I just felt disappointed with my stay.
