casa vacanze nel Chianti il Granaio

The location and the view over the Chianti hills is the chief selling point of this property. It is peaceful, surrounded by nature, vineyards and olive groves, and very rural (accessed by a 3km track off the main road). However, it is easy to reach the supermarkets and motorway at Poggibonsi (about 15-20 minutes) and to visit Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and the other villages in the Chianti hills within 1 hour or less. The house is comfortable, spacious, and the kitchen well equipped to cook, and we enjoyed having the garden to sit outside and soak in the view.

In early May the evenings and early mornings were chilly, which we hadn't quite appreciated, and there wasn't any heating on - we had only looked at the likely daytime temperatures! This is a stone-built house, so probably stays lovely and cool in the summer. Bathrooms are small but it is a bonus to have 2.

1 normal towel and one tiny one per person, but for 5 days Had to keep washing them and then ironing them dry otherwise they weren’t usable for your next shower

Tolle Lage in herrlicher Landschaft

Jeweils kurze Stromausfälle jeweils am einigen Tagen morgens haben insbesondere die Damen nicht so gut gefunden. Aber hey, es ist Urlaub

Bijzondere 18e eeuwse locatie, oud pand, mooi uitzicht bovenop de berg, rust. In huis alles aanwezig. Incl. afwasmachine, oven, bbq, 2 badkamers (wel wat gedateerd). Mooie ligging zwembad. Zonsondergang. Allessandra en Francesco aardig en behulpzaam..

De lange witte weg ernaartoe was verschrikkelijk. Af en toe steile stukken, in eerste versnelling met veel vaart. Redelijk afgelegen. In avond ga je niet even weg naar een restaurant. Aanvankelijk werkte wifi niet. Met een nieuwe router door eigenaren opgelost. Wifi is een must, ook aangezien internetverbinding minimaal is. Geen bewegwijzering aanwezig. Geen informatieboek in huis/appartement aanwezig (tip!). Geen informatie aanwezig over de historie van de nederzetting (tip!). Zwembad slecht toegankelijk via simpel trapje in het water.
