Our unique property allows guests to adequately "social distance" from the homeowner, with exclusive use of the yard and pool during their stay. Reach out to me for further details and updates.
This 1948-built architectural home was designed by architect, Allen Siple and developed by Paul Trousdale who later went on to built Trousdale Estates in Los Angeles.. Current owner completely remodeled and expanded the residence in 2007 with an art and spa aesthetic and includes a walled compound consisting of the main home (occupied by owners) and a 650+ sq. foot detached guest house, separated by a loggia with fireplace. Known as Casa de Arte, the home and art collection has been featured in numerous publications. Ideal guest would be a seasonal renter looking for quiet enjoyment of the desert lifestyle or a visitor coming into the city for a special event like Modernism Week, Palm Springs Art Fair or Coachella Music Festival.
The City of Palm Springs ID# 8003 for a "homeshare" short-term rental. The city charges a 12.5% Transit Occupancy Tax on stays less than 28 days which is collected by VRBO. Guest will sign a "Good Neighbor Brochure" when they arrive noting they will comply city City requirements including occupancy limits, noise prohibitions and vehicle parking requirement. In addition the City requires the host to make a copy of the responsible party's driver's license or other ID.
Note that the per diem rate does not include heating the pool. We will heat the spa upon request on occasion during your stay not to exceed one-hour per day. Up to one-hour per day will be gratis. Additional spa time will have a surcharge of $25/hour.
NOTE: 2 night minimum. IMPORTANT NOTE: 3 night minimum for Coachella, Stagecoach and certain holidays. There is a 5 night minimum for Modernism Week. For the high season months of January through April the MAXIMUM rental period will be for 3 consecutive weeks. (No monthly rentals for those 4 months).

We couldn't have asked for more with this stay...and yet there was more! This is a beautiful guest house with the most generous hosts. We enjoyed the remarkable art, gorgeous outside spaces, and lovely indoor spots. As avid hikers, golfers, and pool floaters, we were enchanted by Gil and Stan's amazing property and hospitality. Hope to return again!

We had such a fabulous stay! Stan and Gil were gracious hosts and offered us treats and snacks throughout our stay as well as great info on local restaurants and must-see attractions.The pool and hot tub were fabulous as well as outdoor eating area and a screened in porch. The casita is gorgeous and the bed was super comfortable. We also enjoyed riding the bikes they had onsite- there is a great bike trail system right across the street. We will surely stay here again! Thanks Gil and Stan!

We loved our stay on Gil and Stan’s beautiful property! The guest house was clean and comfortable and had everything we could need. The pool area in the backyard was a dream. Stan and Gil took great care of us, even providing popsicles to beat the heat, and an ice pack for my knee injury. We are so thankful for their hospitality at their incredible home!

We loved the property, location and delightful hosts. Gil & Stan couldn't have been more hospitable. Their response to any questions were quick and helpful. I'd highly recommend the Casita for a short or longer stay in Palm Springs.
