Das B&B Hotel war sehr gemütlich und komfortabel eingerichtet. Die Matratzen, Bettdecken und Kopfkissen sehr ergonomisch. Die Betreiberin ist überaus freundlich und immer bemüht, den Gästen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen sowie wertvolle Tipps zu Ausflugszielen und Restaurants zu geben.

Das B&B hat einen hohen ökologischen/biologischen Anspruch. Daher ist die Benutzung von Handys etc. nur im eigenen Zimmer erwünscht. Das war für uns ungewohnt und hat z.B. die Planung von Touren, das Nachschlagen von Bahnverbindungen und das berufliche sowie private Kommunizieren am Frühstückstisch und im Aufenthaltsraum eingeschränkt.

Everything you could wish for at Chesa Staila is there and it just works. A lot of thought and investment has gone into making the facitlities and rooms both functional and very attractive at the same time. There's a great mix of functionality, "Alpen-Chic" and quirkyness that let's you discover ever new details while enjoying the numerous retreats and features at the same time. The self-serviced bar is stocked with excellent products (we had a great white wine) and breakfast is delicious.

The owner has strong presence and a tendency to take control of conversations. At the time of our visit, something in the payment design didn't quite work out and we were threatened with a 3% penalty for card payments (credit and debit) on top of the rates quoted in Booking.com, which was unacceptable. We avoided it by paying cash—for which we had to make the effort of finding an ATM without off-setting fees. Chesa Staila is located right at a busy road (during the day only) and close to a train line with a level crossing that beeps during the day (though, miraculously, not at night). It was thus not the 100% quiet retreat that we had imagined owing to our lack of "research" on the location itself. There are myriad funny and/or "feel-good" statements and panels around the house that dull quickly.

Das kleine, sehr feine und liebevoll eingerichtete B&B ist geprägt von einer familiären, unaufdringlichen Herzlichkeit. Bis auf eine Suite mit Holzdecke, schläft man in allen anderen Zimmern unter einem traumhaften Sternenhimmel. Dieser zeigt sich beim Lichterlöschen und ist entzückend. In den Tag startet man mit einem Frühstück aus lokalen Zutaten, alles superfrisch und von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Frau Haller und ihr Team sind Gastgeberinnen aus Leidenschaft! Neu gibt es eine Sauna mit Ruheraum, welche wir aus Zeitgründen aber nicht benutzten. Ebenso lädt ein gemütlicher, hübscher kleiner Garten zum Verweilen ein. Wer einmal im Chesa Staila war, kommt garantiert wieder. Obwohl das B&B direkt an der Albulastrasse liegt, ist es sehr ruhig. Es stehen übrigens ausreichend Parkplätze für Gäste zur Verfügung. Zugreisende benötigen vom Bahnhof nur 5 Minuten zu Fuss bis zum Hotel.
