Location is beautiful . And close to the centre of the city too. The staff is friendly and rooms are beautiful.

We checked in on a Monday for one night, I believe, when the hotel was actually "closed". This meant that there was no one to greet you and the restaurant was closed for dinner but they still offered travelers overnight stays. We were given a code a head of time that opened a lock box for the front door and our room key. The room was nice with a few overhead beams that guests needed to be mindful of. We had just a very small balcony overlooking a home next door which I assumed to be the owner of the hotel. The hotel is in a lovely part of the Black Forest, easy access to waterfalls, small villages and lovely scenery. We met the owner at breakfast the next morning. He provided a lovely, quite extensive breakfast and also offered made to order eggs. It was all very good and lots of variety.
Actually, we had a nice time and enjoyed the quiet and serene atmosphere of the country.
