All staff are courteous, pleasant, and most helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The room was beautiful, beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was large, elegant and we appreciated the heated towel rack. This hotel is easy walking distance from the ferry. The grounds are beautifully kept.
One of us is handicapped and the stairs to our room were a challenge. However that was not unexpected. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

It’s location is indisputably out of this world, good enough for Charles Edward Stuart the pretender who landed in Scotland to lead the Jacobite revolution in 1745. The library is a must see and the ferry is a trip worth making. Our room recently refurbished was unexpected for the price and the view to Skye made up for the hotels failings.
However a shortage in staff and a very weak menu spoilt it for us. One bar man on our arrival run off his feet and one member of staff at breakfast trying to satisfy continental guest’s with a British fry up says it all. If I missed an alternative breakfast so did the young Spanish family.
