Everything was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful

I was making this reservation for my friend and after she lost her dad and aunt same time and I asked to cancel or reschedule my reservation they don’t accept my request . That is the reason I don’t like the property, but it is fine and I wasn’t understanding there conditions and I understand after the ticket was not refunded but you can reschedule and for me they refuse for rescheduled.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, even lent me a phone charger as I had forgotten my own. The breakfast was comprehensive and tasty, with fresh bread and croissants every day and a range of food including plenty of fresh fruit. The hotel was being renovated when we stayed so there was some noise and mess around the garden but it never impacted on our comfort. The area, Joinville, is really quiet and genteel, close to the vast Bois de Vincennes and next to the very pleasant river Marne. There's a range of shops selling everything you could need, including a small Carrefour and an Intermarché which both sell very good ready-made food for if you're on a budget. There's also a very nice street market each Wednesday and Saturday. It's a 15-min walk to Joinville-le-Pont métro station (line D) but there are regular buses and you can hire bikes in two separate locations nearby. All in all I would highly recommend Hôtel Cinepole if you don't want to (or can't afford to!) stay more centrally, or if you simply want to stay in a pretty and likeable parisian suburb.

The weather was quite hot during our stay, so walking to and from the métro felt long and tiring on some days. We had a ground floor room and there was no air conditioning so we had a lot of mosquitos because keeping the window closed in the heat was not comfortable. The light switches were old and loose, but as I mentioned the hotel was being renovated during the time we stayed. Also there was only one plug socket in the room, so we could watch tv or have the fan on, but not both at once.
