Hotel is in a very nice location and it has plenty of facilities for kids - pool with a little slide, play room, half board available, staff was very helpful and kind

Everything was great, especially location and staff in a restaurant. Restaurant staff was very polite and communicative, they told us everything we wanna know. Food was also great but only minus is the principe of serving dinner. They don't have a buffe for dinner, you have to choose between three menu's, which is an outdated system.
When we arrived (2 adults and one baby 6th months old + our 4 members of family), there was a receptionist with short blue hair (woman), and when we tried to check in she told us first we need to pack out all our stuff on a reception and only then we can get our key to a room. As a family with little baby we have a tons of stuffs and it was very difficult for us to take all of our stuffs out without room key. Also, as their guests we have right to use a gondola for panorama view but she didnt give us that cards.. that means that we lost 120€ because of her negligence, thank you for that..

I had a room with a lake view, and the view was beautiful. We get the morning sun.
-Came with 2 dogs. Booking.com says “Pets are allowed. Charges may apply.” After booking, I was told, the room I selected didn’t allow two dogs and that I should have called in advance. I was moved to a more expensive room. I had no choice but to accept due to the non-refundable policy. At check-in, I was still blamed for not calling ahead.
-The hotel is not accessible for people with mobility issues. From street parking to reception, you must walk up 4 winding levels of a partially covered parking structure, sharing the path with moving vehicles. Alternatively, there’s a steep, sandy dirt path that’s not safe. No lawns. No lift. No easy access for walking dogs. I walk my dogs 3x/day and navigating this was inconvenient & unsafe.
-Dogs not allowed on beds/sofa, or you pay €30 fee. No dog beds provided, you must bring your own. For comparison, a hotel I stayed at in Salzkammergut in April 2025 provided 2 large dog beds and 2 food bowls.
-Upon arrival, we're given a long list of harsh rules/reminders. While I understand the intent, the tone felt more disciplinary than welcoming (don’t come late to dinner, make sure you tip, don’t pack sandwich at breakfast, don’t gorge on buffets, observe dress code, do decent photography, no mean reviews). A more hospitable/friendly English translation would help.
-Upgraded room is spacious but the tiny balcony (2 m²) is shared with neighboring room, separated only by a waist-high divider.
-Food didnt meet expectation for 4-star hotel e.g. deep-fried fish & pudding as dessert that used too much corn starch. Asked for a tap-water, they charged EUR 3 for “Carinthian mountain-water”. Though it's legal, I don’t like it that they charge so much for tap water when the room's already expensive - 52% more than my previous one that's all-inclusive (incl. lunch, coffee & cakes, parking, dogs)
-No coffee/tea maker in room.
-No table to work/study.
-Shower ran out of soap.
