The Casa del Girasole is a small, welcoming and recently renovated and rationally furnished apartment, located in the immediate vicinity of via Toledo, the most historic Neapolitan shopping street. Located on the third floor of an ancient building typical of the old working-class neighborhood, whose system dates back to the 17th century, it features a bright balcony overlooking the "Largo Baracche" which gives the whole apartment airiness, a rare feature appreciated in the narrow alleys of the ancient Neapolitan popular district.
The apartment consists of a living room with dining area and a comfortable king size double sofa bed and a mezzanine area with a large double bedroom with a French bed. The kitchen, small and complete, is equipped with fridge, washing machine and combined microwave oven and a comfortable peninsula. The bathroom has a shower cabin. TV, air conditioning and WiFi complete the comfort.
A few steps from the splendid Piazza Plebiscito and the Royal Palace, the apartment is located in the heart of the famous Spanish quarters with a controversial and fascinating history, built in the 17th century by the viceroy Don Pedro de Toledo, now included in the UNESCO heritage, it is a quiet pedestrian area. and at the same time lively for the presence of numerous trattorias and places of interest that make the alley frequented at all hours by Italian and foreign tourists.
The Casa del Girasole is located 120 meters from the famous "Toledo" metro station recognized as "The most beautiful station in Europe" and you can also reach public transport in a few steps for any kind of excursion or visit to Naples and its province. In five minutes on foot you can reach the Central Funicular which leads to the hilly areas of Vomero and the BUS lines that pass through the nearby arteries of via Medina and Piazza Municipio. The docks of the hydrofoils and ferries to the islands of the gulf can be reached by metro or even on foot (about 1km). The central station of Piazza Garibaldi can be reached very easily by metro without having to make changes.

This is a clean well equipped apartment on the third floor of a classic Spanish Quarter apartment building. The balcony overlooks a lively square, and when you’re ready to have some quiet closing the doors and a little white noise or music will do the trick. We loved being in the thick of all the action, great people watching!

Luigi and Chiara were waiting outside to greet me. And throughout the stay , Luigi was readily available on WhatsApp. The apartment is well equipped and spacious, ideal for a couple. Luigi had provided milk, fruit juice breakfast breads jam and water in the fridge. There were several jars of herbs n spices olive oil plus 2 bottles of wine. The micro , washing machine, fridge and hob are all modern . The kitchen which has everything you need in terms of crockery and utensils; has a huge ceiling fan which runs 24/7 and keeps the kitchen at a pleasant temperature. The bathroom comes with soap shampoo and shower gel. The lounge is well furnished. Both the lounge and bedroom come with wardrobes and drawers. The large AC unit at the end of the lounge keeps both the lounge and bedroom cool. The bed is very firm and comfortable.
The apartment is 3 mins from the metro,and 10 minutes later you are at Garibaldi for the trains to Pompeii Vesuvio Herculaeneum and 12 to 15 min walk from the ferryport to all the islands and the coastal resorts. For supermarkets, Conad is 5 mins walk and Supero 8 mins. The market at via Pignasecca is great for fresh fruit veg n fish; There are trattoria and bars on every corner especially on via Sperenzella. I would 100% recommend this apartment if you want to experience Naples and the hosts are super.

La gentilezza e la cura di Luigi e di sua moglie sono state un ben venuto molto caloroso a Napoli. L’appartamento è dotato di tutti i confort è tenuto benissimo e si presenta con una pulizia ineccepibile. La zona è strategica, nel centro di Napoli non adatto probabilmente a chi preferisce zone tranquille e silenziose ma per chi ama invece immergersi nel cuore pulsante della città è assolutamente il posto giusto. Consiglio vivamente di soggiornare in questo gioiellino. La trattoria Nennella proprio sotto casa è stata una mano santa e mi ha sfamato per gran parte del mio soggiorno: ottimi pasti a prezzi irrisori serviti con allegria.
