The location and surrounds are exceptional. The rustic cabin look is very appealing and wood fires are lovely. Animals roaming around also adds to the charm. The walks around the lodge are great and easy for any level of walker.
The restaurant staff seemed a little disorganised and not as polished as I was expecting for top end restaurant .
The second night my husband had a burger from the tavern and it was very ordinary, overcooked.

Atmosphere was great. Food was ok if you avoided anything grilled. Staff were attentive and service was excellent
Room old but clean
Grilled food was dry and obviously over cooked and reheated
Accommodation was way over priced for what we ended up with
$$$$
