The staff were friendly and helpful. The room, although rather dated, was cleaned very well. The hotel was a nice walk away from the centre and harbor for boat tours. Train station was quite close, although we had to walk along a very busy road without a pavement.
The croissants for breakfast.
The pillows were very hard and the bed was rather too hard for our taste. We stayed in October, so the room was not always warm enough during the night and there weren’t enough blankets. A duvet would have been better.
The breakfast was okay, despite being the same every day; more choice would have been good, such as eggs and brown bread as an alternative. The coffee from the machine was not to my taste.

We chosen this hotel mainly considering breakfast and location. Both are good.
The breakfast has a variety of options, in particular yogurt, fresh fruit, warm croissant and three kinds of hams and cheese. It is walkable from Stresa train station to the hotel, about 500 m. The owner is friendly and helpful.
The towel provided in the room is quite white.
NOTE for the Stresa travelers: the cable car has been not running quite a while so we just hiked 45 mins. In Italy, the breakfast does not provide hot food, eg, bacon, like that in Spain or Portugal
Our room is in the first and corner floor, we feel a bit humid.
