    The room looked fabulous. Very big etc. I stayed for two nights. I was very tired after my arrival on the 16th of May, 2025. So I slept a lot. Then did some sightseeing. I noticed that the room was way too warm. The thermostat showed 25 degrees Celsius. I set it a few degrees lower but the display kept jumping back to 25. Or even 26 or 27. I thought I did not know how to use a high tech thermostat. So I went to the front desk for help. They wanted to set the new temperature on their tablets. I asked them just to teach me how to use the thermostat. So I was shown exactly the same steps I had done. Their explanation: the display jumps back because the room starts to cool gradually. When it reaches the desired temperature (I was told in about 20 minutes), the display will change. One hour later nothing had changed. I went out sightseeing and asked them to solve the matter by my return (a few hours later). They asked to open the windows. The request seemed weird but whatever could speed the process up. Long story short, nothing changed. I lost count how many times I spoke to them. They claimed to have changed the temperature also on their tablets. They assured me the temperature would be falling. I went to sleep. At midnight the temperature had not fallen. I went to the reception. A nightshift worker confessed they had had many complaints about the temperature. Some rooms are too cold and others too hot. Nothing can be done. The reception had wasted my time and pretended my problem was a surprise. The nightshift worker claimed to have lowered the temperature. At 5 am it was still high. Opening the windows was problematic because they were locked (I could not open them and the nightshift worker struggled very hard before getting them open) and because of the noise outside (many bars etc). I slept for maybe three or four hours. I hope the hotel has basic decency and does not give this room (room 301) to another customer if the thermostat does not work. Just in case, I do not recommend booking a room in that hotel before the problem has been fixed. The nightshift worker tried to offer me a drink voucher. That was offensive. I firmly refused the offer. I wanted to sleep and not drink. When I checked out, the issue was not mentioned at all. As if it had not happened. I felt very humiliated. When they started to "fix" the problem (while knowing very well it could not be fixed), I apologised for being stupid and thanked them for their "help". At the same time they were just lying to me. This hotel has potential to be great. It just needs working thermostats and much kinder staff.
