We liked everything! The host was really kind, quick with her replies, and keen to help if needed. The boat was a great spot close to the center and a great shelter from the few storms that we had during our visit. It was really stable inside and was a different adventure that we had as a family. Honestly, I really recommend it, and it's not going to be the last time if I ever visit Edinburgh again.
We liked everything. The only constructive feedback was related to the sink, which was taking a bit to drain, but even that was manageable.

This was a very unique and memorable experience being on a house boat. The location was central to the major sites of the city and convenient to restaurants and stores.
We knew the space would be tight, and while it offered 2 bedrooms and 2 bunk beds, the bathroom was very small and hard to maneuver in, especially for anyone with limited mobility. Getting in and out of the boat was also a challenge due to the small size of the door. The boat is also on a part of the canal with a lot of nearby pedestrians, so it was noisy even at night as people walked around so it was difficult to get a good night's sleep. While it was a safe location, due to the position of the boat, it was easy for pedestrians to see directly into the boat unless all the curtains were down, so we felt uncomfortable. I think it suits singles or couples but in retrospect it didn't work for our family of four. Additionally, part of the shower broke while we were there. We contacted the host but no one came to fix it. We also ordered a breakfast package but part of the order was missing so we had to supplement our meal.
