Hotel Jagerhof is cozy, comfortable, and quiet! On a side street a 10 or so minute walk from Zermatt’s town center, you’re a short walk from the party but thankfully don’t have to listen to it from the hotel. The property was clean, very cozy, and the staff were lovely.
This has been the case with every hotel I’ve stayed at in Switzerland, so not unique to Jagerhof, but I really wish they’d put a kettle in the rooms so you can have tea or something at your leisure.

Conveniently located close to town centre and just a few minutes walk to the ski bus stop. Pleasant Reception and Bar area. Good sized Ski Room with comfortable chairs! The evening meal was excellent and the breakfast good. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (see comment below).
My initial room was unconventional in design - no separation between sleeping area and shower/toilet area. I could also hear the TV in the adjacent room till late at night. When I mentioned this, the staff were quick to respond, moving me to a much nicer room with a separate toilet/shower room.

Modern Amenities: The bathroom has been updated with a modern style design that feels fresh compared to the rest of the room.
Functional Furniture: While the implementation of details could be refined, the furniture provided is generally sturdy and "ok" for a standard stay.
Staff Responsiveness: The reception team was willing to offer an alternative room (Room 117) and attempted to mediate the noise issue with neighbors.
Cons
Inconsistent Aesthetic: The mix of "old style" bedroom furniture with a modern bathroom creates a disjointed atmosphere that lacks a cohesive "soul" or artistic direction.
Maintenance & Cleanliness: There were visible signs of wear, including discolouration on the carpets and spots on curtains, a dirty QR code stand, and a non-functional TV remote upon arrival.
Mechanical Noise: The ventilation system was loud—resembling industrial noise—and ran late into the evening (until 23:30), making it difficult to relax.
Air Quality Concerns: this may have been compounded by Zermatt’s high altitude, dry air and dehydration. Some info about this for by hotel would be very useful.
Poor Sound Insulation: The walls appear to be quite thin, as conversations from adjacent rooms were clearly audible.
Room Relocation Options: The alternative room offered was located near high-traffic areas (reception, staircase, and shuttle parking), which presented a different set of noise concerns rather than a quiet solution.
Classic Touches: For those who appreciate a "vintage" feel, the inclusion of a physical paper notebook adds a nostalgic touch to the guest experience. I don't even have pen or pencil to use this notebook.
There was no USB or USB-C plugs.
No water kettle tea/coffee
The safe was too small to fit 13" laptop.
