We booked an overnight stay for a girlie catch up, when looking for somewhere to stay, our criteria included a spa. When we arrived was met by a fairly frosty receptionist that informed us to use spa we would need to pay additional £20 per person for an hour. When we queried this, we was informed it was because we booked through a 3rd party ( £170 for bb).
When we arrived at spa, we checked in to be told “ you can’t use facilities outside as we are far too busy”
Dinner wasn’t included in the price of stay, but we used restaurant anyway. Staff was lovely and friendly. Dinner was pricey but we loved it and happily paid our bill.
Breakfast table was reserved for 9.30, we arrived on time shown to table, we proceeded to hot food buffet, very minimal available. At that time no sign of anything being replenished., which we both found very disappointing.
Room was spotless and bed was very comfortable.
Grounds looked lovely
Would only stay there again if we managed to get a special offer as this turned out to be a very expensive night away

We have stayed at the Gailes before and enjoy our stay every time, and a walk to the Harbour with views looking over to Arran are beautiful.

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable,but a lack of storage space meant we had to live out of our cases for 2 days.No lighting at the dressing table was needed and required for my wife.Restuarant was excellent as usual,but the drinks are a little expensive.
