About this chalet rental
The 2026 Olympic biathlon venue (Antholz) is about 130 km away and easily accessible by public transport. The cross-country skiing venue (Fleim Valley – Val di Fiemme) is about 80 km away and also well connected by public transport.
The house is integrated directly into an old walnut and gives you the feeling to live in the middle of the forest. Sustainability is our credo, in this sense, the house was built.
It is very quiet and it is a complete solid wood construction, natural without glue joints, of course, sustainably built and realized with local craftsmen. The wood used comes from a farmer from the village, the entire electrical system is built radiation-free, all furniture is made of solid wood from the carpenter and treated with natural oils.
The house has direct access to the nearby Falschauer creek, is surrounded on two sides by meadows and at night you can watch the deer grazing on the balcony. With a bit of luck you can watch the squirrels sitting in the living room as they jump around on the balcony and the tree. The house (75m²) is suitable for up to 6 people.
Directly on the doorstep you can start with the hiking boots, because from here you can access several hiking trails.
The house has a living room with panoramic windows, two balconies and a covered terrace with mountain scenery. It is equipped with a kitchenette and from the kitchen you can access the terrace and directly into the meadow. There they can enjoy the campfire in the evening.
The holiday home has two separate double bedrooms and a pull-out sofa bed in the living room. The house is built in typical solid wood construction and will put them in a holiday mood. It has a bathroom with shower on the ground floor and a private toilet and sink in the (honeymoon) room upstairs, as well as central heating. In addition, the house is equipped with a woodburning stove, where you can enjoy the burning of the fire on cold winter days while it is snowing outside.
Equipment: All furniture is made of solid wood, massive stone pine beds, quality mattresses, a solid wood kitchen with rich and high-quality dishes, bed linen, towels and kitchen towels are provided.
To avoid electrosmog, the electrical system is equipped with so-called "mains isolators" and all electrical cables are constructed with "shielded" cables. An approximately 1 acre lot with meadow and forest, barbecue, campfire, firewood, a walk to the nearby creek on their own property, children's toys, herb garden, beach chairs, and ... ... birdsong!
A 15-minute walk will take you to the village center of St. Pankraz, where you will find two grocery stores, a butcher, two restaurants / pizzerias, hairdresser, bank and post office.

From here, the Ultental extends with its many kilometers of hiking trails to the west, with its high mountain peaks and also offers the valley ideal for mountain biking!

We stayed at the Laugen Lodge with Thomas for a week in September, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The all-wooden Lodge is super comfortable, and is located in a large garden with private sauna and natural pool. Thomas was extremely welcoming, and caring. He even gave us some polenta from his own grown corn, milled by himself, with a sumptuous polenta recipe. Wholeheartedly recommended!

Wir haben mit 5 Personen (3 Erw., 2 Kinder) eine herrliche Woche in der Laugenlodge verbracht. Neben dem spannenden, da absolut nachhaltigem Konzept überzeugt die liebevolle und durchdachte Einrichtung mit vielen Details. Alles Notwendige ist vorhanden und viele Kleinigkeiten zeigen, dass bei der Einrichtung genau geschaut wurde, was man selber gern hätte oder nützlich ist (z.B. verschieden farbige Handtücher für alle Personen). Das Haus und das große idyllische Grundstück bieten viel Raum für Erholung. Wir haben den schönen Schwimmteich und die Grillstelle gerne genutzt, aber auch die Ruhe genossen. Auch das Ultental bietet viel und ist nicht so überlaufen; dennoch hat man auch die Nähe zu Bozen und Meran. St. Pankraz ist fussläufig erreichbar und bietet neben zwei Restaurants auch zwei kleine Läden für den täglichen Bedarf. Besonders ist aber die herzliche Begrüßung und Begleitung durch Thomas Egger und Familie herauszuheben. Viele Tipps, zahlreiche Aufmerksamkeiten (Blumen auf dem Tisch, Wein zur Begrüßung, frische Johannesbeeren und auch selbstgemachter Sirup…), immer ansprechbar und dennoch absolut unaufdringlich. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen!
