Bay Cottage

Everything. This quaint little cottage is idyllic. It feels a little bit like a step back to a simpler time and as tho you are staying in your own fairy tale. The owner gave the most welcoming check in we have ever experienced. The thoughtful touches added subtly to our stay are too many to note, but fresh cut flowers that appeared can’t go without mention! The high level of genuine hospitality was there for our entire stay — which was altogether too short.

I am hard pressed to note anything negative or in need of improvement. If I had to make any suggestion at all- I guess I might have wanted a larger fridge—tho the size wasn’t actually insufficient, it was just difficult for me to get low to get into a small floor dorm fridge. But that may just be more of a “me” problem, than one of the cottage.

Cozy, very clean, peaceful setting. Ed, the host, was the nicest man and very helpful. The room was full of extra touches. It was like a secret garden.

Better beach access would be nice, but not a deal breaker. Short drive to Fort Worden which has great beach access.

Didn’t dislike anything.

Location , location, location. It is right on the beach. The owner, Ed is a very pleasant man and the property is well cared for.

The Rooms are arranged weirdly. You have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the single. There is a decided list to the place. The dining room lists towards the sound and the bedroom to the side of the hill. There are windows that don't open easily and they have no screens. The neighbor to the left of the place is very rude. She started power washing at seven am and then harangued my autistic grandson because he overstepped onto her beach. It really upset him and her threats of calling the sheriff bothered him for the rest of the weekend. She is a bully, plain and simple. I don't know how Ed deals with her.
