About this apartment rental
Spacious family apartment with three bedrooms overlooking Lago Maggiore in the North of Italy. Wake up to the singing of birds, dine al fresco on the terrace or simply relax and enjoy the vast views over the largest Italian lake and the Swiss alps. The area boasts 2 of the top golf courses of northern Italy, horse back riding and of course water sports. The closest ski resort is about one hour away.
The building is located in a village just on top of Stresa a bustling tourist town that is one of the major attractions and stops at Lago Maggiore.
The apartment is on the 3rd (top floor) walk-up in a residential building from the 1960s and was renovated in 2008. It has one in-suite bedroom, a master bedroom with access to the terrace and a third bedroom set up to accommodate up to three kids or a couple. There is a bicycle/storage room on the entrance level and 2 spots for parking along the building. The area is safe and quiet, there is a small playground nearby. Car recommended but it is possible to walk down to the center of town in 15 minutes.

Die Wohnung liegt oberhalb des Sees und bietet neben gemütlicher Ausstattung einen schönen Blick auf dem See vom Balkon.
Wir kamen mit dem Zug (3 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder) und haben uns ein Taxi zur Unterkunft genommen. Ins Zentrum von Stresa läuft man etwa 15 min bergab ( teilweise etwas an der befahrenen Straße, dann aber wieder durch malerische Gassen. Bergan ist eine kleine Herausforderung, da es steil an geht, aber auch machbar. Wir sind jeden Tag gelaufen. In Stresa gibt es viele Möglichkeiten etwas zu unternehmen und auch zu baden. Stresa ist ein wirlich hübscher Ort. Die Verwalterin hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und obwohl es hieß, dass sie nur Italienisch und Französisch spricht konnten wir uns auf Englisch und den Paar Brocken Französcisch gut verständigen.
Wlan konnten wir auch nutzen. Alles war zu unserer höchsten Zufriedenheit. Wir können die Wohnung nur empfehlen.

Dejligt sted, fantastisk natur omgiver søen. Byen er ikke kæmpe stor, men gode spisesteder og indkøbs muligheder. Er man på slanke kur er der gode muligheder for at gå på bakker, med op til 20 procents stigning

The property was beautiful and spacious, with a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. The host had left some information regarding nearby restaurants, activities and taxi services which was all very useful. The location was also great, as it was a short walk to the town centre, and just over an hour to get to Milan. The apartment overall was wonderful, and made the stay in Stresa extremely enjoyable.
