This is a very cozy guesthouse with just a few rooms and common areas where you can enjoy your own breakfast or meals, unwind, or have a glass of wine or a beer after exploring the city. You can also park your car in their private parking area, just a two-minute walk away for an extra fee. The location is both calm and conveniently close to the city center. Omar, one of the owners, is incredibly kind and welcoming. Although we arrived after check-in time, the self check-in process was very easy thanks to the clear instructions. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return to the property on our next visit to the city.

Really lovely guesthouse, 5/10 minutes walk from the main square in Bruges.
The room was large with a very comfortable super king bed, with a walk in shower in the private bathroom.
The communal area on the ground floor was beautifully decorated with a mini kitchen, fully stocked fridge with an honesty payment system.
Omar, the owner was incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations and areas to visit.
Highly recommend, we would love to return and stay at La Cle again.

Omar sent us a few recommendations which was appreciated
Location was good, quite close to centre
-Room 1: probably the worst room there. We could hear everything, from music and people at the bar outside to each and every guest leaving and entering the premises.
Our sleep kept getting interrupted as most of the guests unfortunately do not know how to use their brain. Despite instructions on how to close the front door correctly, a lot of them kept slamming it, at 10pm, 12am and 2am. I am appalled by other guests’ poor level of respect and consideration for other guests. Of course, not blaming the guesthouse here. But, their door is a problem though.
Therefore, sleep quality was very poor there, which is an issue when you stay at a guesthouse.

Unfortunately, this frustrated us quite a bit. Not coming back.
