Glamis House

The house was absolutely stunning with beautiful scenery and very spacious. We were blown away with how incredible it was. The estate staff were exceptional and the hospitality we received was fantastic. We also enjoyed a tour at the castle with a very knowledgeable guide, toured the gardens and ate in the restaurant. Magical weekend for a family occasion. Thank you!

There is absolutely nothing we did not like.

Unique historic property next to the grounds of Glamis Castle (across A928 immediately to the West). Very private. Beautiful gardens behind home and huge walled garden beside the home. Very comfortable living room with a wood-burning fireplace and plenty of seating. Round table in the dining room easily fit 8 for dinner with plenty of room. The house is very spacious. Kitchen was big and very clean. The bedrooms were big and the beds were comfortable. The plumbing fixtures were dated but everything worked well, with great water pressure in the showers. This is a 200+ year old home and we appreciated the quirky aspects. It was perfect for our family of 8 We walked to the corner shop in the village for coffee and breakfast. The host who met us upon arrival was so welcoming and friendly and explained everything we needed to know. Highly recommend.

The breakfast at Glamis Castle was very good. The venison black pudding tasted delicious. The staff were very friendly and took an interest in why we were at Glamis House.

Everything was just perfect. We loved everything there.

Beautiful house in wonderful surroundings and was the perfect location to meet with friends and birthday celebrations. The hosts were exceedingly welcoming and friendly. Wonderful open fire, garden was beautiful and the bedrooms were amazing.

The kitchen could have been slightly better stocked. There were only 7 of us but as it does cater for 12 things like pots and pans were not as varying as I would have maybe expected. We couldn’t find a water jug. I had brought a lot of things with me like salt, pepper, sugar etc… I’m not sure if this is standard in Scotland but compared the gîtes my parents run in France it felt the bare minimum had been supplied in the kitchen.
