Absolutely beautiful location and amazing attentive and caring staff. Had a couple of issues with natural spring smell from one particular rice paddy but manager moved me right away to another even more luxurious villa. Fantastic bathroom, hot water, closets and great outdoor kitchen under expansive verandah. Fresh bottled water and spotless cleaning supplied everyday including the pool. An amazing driver (Oki) provided (at extra cost of course). Two lovely restaurants within a 5 minute walk and 10 min ride into center of town. But the best was the fantastic staff from the manager and assistant manager to the sweetest bellboys. All made the stay wonderful!

We are returning customers with prior experience in other Ubud locations.
It is true that villas are not reachable by taxi cars but getting to a Gojek taxi location is a matter of a short walk. Meals can be ordered and delivered just fine. In return, you are at a nice location in the middle of rice fields.
There is also the Good Day resto nearby serving meals and drinks all day (you get a discount as a Candy Villa guest, also for massages) so you can simply walk there.
Internet works OK, around 40-50 Mbps. WiFi hotspots are at all villas (i.e. signal is perfect). Connectivity might get somewhat overloaded on evenings, but nothing too bad. I handled a few work calls just fine.
Villas are in good shape. (Everything on Bali looks slightly run down, that's how humid weather works.)
Kitchen has usual equipment (including kettle), plus there's a Smart TV.
People at the reception are always helpful. It is possible to get a driver through the reception for trips around the island. You can communicate with the reception via WhatsApp.
Breakfasts are provided at Good Day resto. You order from a long list of choices - for us it's more than we could eat!

Quiet, friendly staff, comfortable villas.
Pools weren’t cleaned regularly: main pool and villa pool was questionable at times.
Limited dietary requirements satisfied, as didn’t consider requests for food allergies when plenty of notice was given.

Loved the location - beautiful scenery , very laid back and serene.

The air conditioning wasn’t working when we checked in , luckily the staff fixed it quickly. The villa advertised a sofa bed downstairs in the delux mezzanine, but when asked to have it made up, it all seemed too hard for them and they only provided a duvet, No sheets and didn’t make it up. It included breakfast however you had to decide what you wanted to eat and the time the day before , which when you’re on holiday was too structured.
The main pool area looked very tired and in need of a clean up/maintenance/refresh.
