The hosts were incredibly helpful and communicated with me effectively. They allowed us to bring our dog after a last minute change of plans and didnt charge us for him. They got us a slow cooker after asking if there was one. The location is great with local transport services on the door step. There are food and drink outlets also on the door step.
I have to be honest in my review as far as the aesthetics of the apartment are concerned. It is what i would describe as cosmetically clean. The fixtures and fittings were clean but the walls are badly marked with historic marks and drips left uncleaned. One of the blinds in the living is badly stained. The boiler has a serious leak in the cupboard in the hall which looks like it’s been going on for a while. We had to empty the bowl which was catching the water couple of times.
I always take blankets for the sofas and chairs just in case my dog jumps on them. He doesn’t usually do that. I’m glad I did the sofa and chairs were marked and fairy grubby. The TV has cables hanging down the wall with what looked like some kind of set top box shoved behind.
The balcony had quite a few lose boards which are a trip hazard and needs a really good clean and refurb
The whole place needs some serious TLC and redecoration. It is not “penthouse standard”
