The location of Holiday Home Stella Star in Žabljak is fantastic — right in the heart of nature. The houses are very clean, cozy and well-maintained, making the stay comfortable and pleasant. Definitely a great spot for anyone visiting the North part of Montenegro! I enjoyed my stay there.

The cabin ( a set of three in one yard) in beautiful located, isolated from the city (but good car acces) at the edge of the forest. Parking space available at site. Barbeque facilities also.
Cabin - even thought designed good, it is very poorly maintained. Wood cabin are supposed to make sounds when walking inside, but at least the door hinges should be oiled.
Cleanliness - not existent at all
- thick dust all over the place. In the sleeping rooms were 2 closets filled with lots of sheets and blankets that were simply collecting dust. In summer time, winter sheets should be deposited elsewhere, not keeping space for guests luggage.
- bathroom - seen much better days in its times. After each guests, cleaning staff should dispose of left over cleaning items, such used soap or empty gel shower bottles.
- kitchen - as in bathrooms, cleaning staff should check for left overs from previous guests (true, guests should dispose themselves such things). Found some old bread and left over ice cream in the freezer.
- living rooms sofa - lots of stains from previous use. Never cleaned for years I guess.
- linens of towels - even washed, had an old and outdated look, and smelt nothing close to fresh
- Sleeping rooms - MOLD was present in the matrimonial bedroom. He had to sleep in the kids bedroom (2 single beds).
As seen in the pictures, the cabin had a roof leaking problem in a corner of a double bed room. Mold was present as smell and also visual. In these cases, you should replace the damaged wood, not cover it with a cloth. It is also a sanitary hazard.
As a conclusion, even though the location and the cabin itself have a lot of potential, the property is lacking a proper maintenance, as presented above and in attached pictures. Would NOT recommend it as long it presents like this.
