The cottage is cozy, warm and great overall. You have everything to cook there and a nice fireplace. You can watch the ships from the window. The bus stop is right around the corner. Yoh can enjoy beautiful sea side views and take a short walk to the beach.
After the long hikes, it would be very appreciated to take a hot shower with stronger water pressure. If you travel without a car it's also a bit hard to get the groceries, because the bus on the isle isn't reliable.

Everything. This was perfect for us: remote, quiet and peaceful. Everything was catered for and the views were stunning. We stayed over the Christmas period, so bought our food and drink with us from Glasgow, but on arrival on Skye, there was a coop open on Christmas Eve at 4pm, which was still stocked with everything we would have needed.
Once settled in the Lodge, we didn't want to leave! The bed was really comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed and the log burner made it very cosy. There was a path down to the beach, just outside our door and we stopped one or two people using it but they weren't close enough to disturb us. The sheep were very entertaining and great company.
The Lodge was a little difficult to find, as it's down a narrow path and through a gate, but this actually added to the privacy and seclusion.
After reading previous reviews about the shower pressure, we bought our own shower head which made it a bit better.

The lodge is set in a beautiful location. The property itself is really charming and the walkway down to the beach and brothers point make this a really nice place for a short stay in Skye.
Unfortunately, there were certain elements which fell short of my expectation, especially as the property was £1,290 for the few nights we stayed. At that premium price you expect there to be no mould on the ceiling of the shower, no obvious damage and marks from previous tenants. Some love and care needs to be injected into the property to bring it back to its glory which I am sure it could be.
