Excellent value, especially in the area. Hostess was very friendly, and very helpful. Room well provisioned and comfortable. Well located for restaurants and bars in town centre.

This property is in a lovely location for exploring Stellenbosch and the surrounding mountains.
My room was well appointed and beautifully clean.
The shutters were a welcome privacy addition to the room and it was wonderfully quiet and dark for sleeping.

Clean and good location for walking to town
Very disappointing and not at all as expected from a property with a 9 average rating. Perhaps guests are reluctant to give lower scores? We experienced the accommodation as basic minimal furnishings and we did not have access to what was shown in the photos for the room we booked. We even had an inter-leading door next our bed and could hear the vacuum going in the morning.
Unfortunately we experienced the hostess as interfering and akward at check-in, and she showed disregard for our privacy the next day. Although she may have meant well, this incident and her behaviour was not acceptable and could have been avoided by a phone call or e-mail before entering our room with the ‘Do not disturb’ sign on the door.
